The STRAIGHT-UP DEATH meme
- Pick a character.
- Put their name and subject line in the header.
- Tagging people: RNG or just pick one below. Needless to say, this meme may contain TRIGGERS for death, violence and suicide.
- Posting people: the person who tagged you is now DYING.
- Have fun.
OPTIONS: - Illness: Self-explanatory. You're on your deathbed from a long and drawn-out illness. Time to call someone to your side for comfort, or for a confession...
- I Cannot Self Terminate: Maybe they're horribly injured, or maybe they've been mutated into a horrific monster. Either way, they can't tell anyone that they want to die--though no one doubts it. Will you be the one to take mercy on them?
- Execution: Once again, self-explanatory. You fought the law and the law won. This is probably the last time anyone will see you...or is the other character your executioner?
- Secretly Dying: Letting your friends and family know that you're terminally ill, or have been marked for death, or have a curse placed on you? No way. You'd rather keep them at ease. But all lies exist to be found out...
- And Make You Watch: This person has hurt you in every possible way, but you can't bring yourself to kill them...looks like there's no recourse but to kill yourself. But before you do it, there's just one way you can twist the knife a little...
- Bungled Suicide: You don't want to die, but can't think of any way to live. Fortunately, one of your friends has stumbled in at just the right time...
- Murder: Pretty self-explanatory. One of your characters is trying to kill the other.
- Fatal Accident: Drowned? Caught in a fire? Happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? All accidents and unhappy, untimely ends go here.
- Duel to the Death: You, sir/madam, have been offended in every possible way, and it's time to settle this once and for all.
- Old Age: Well, you've had a good run, haven't you? Somehow you managed to avoid all the other pitfalls your friends have, but everybody has to pay the piper eventually...
- Ghost: You're already dead. But you had some unfinished business to attend to, so you're making just one last visit...
- Other: Make up something or combine two or three!

oh sad music to go with tag.....
Jiro!
[X called out to his friend, as he moved closer. Jiro, Jiro had to be alright. He had to be safe. He couldn't bare the thought of losing yet another.]
everything about robutts is sad
Ah, X...
[Notice Jiro looking rather drained. He doesn't seem to have the energy to stand up right now. But he'll manage to throw in a weak smile at his friend.]
I'm glad you're here.
being robutts are suffering
Jiro....
[There's an evident frown, as he reached out to place a hand onto Jiro's form.]
What happened?
[He tried to keep a neutral expression but fails as his sadness seeped through from the tone of his own voice.]
Was it a Maverick who did this?
gosh i want to hug them THEY DESERVE SOMETHING BETTER
No, it's just that... I think... I lived long enough. This feeling I have, it made me think of it that way.
...Do you think that's strange?
Something...bette...r...? What????
X closed his eyes, before shaking his head.]
No Jiro. It is not strange. ...it must have been hard for you to live as long as you have, and seen all that you have.
[He hadn't lived as long as Jiro had, yet he has seen and experienced plenty that made him so weary. Yet he couldn't give up, not when the world still moved on.]
You must be so tired, Jiro.
[X moved to rest both his hands upon Jiro's chest.]
It is alright now. Close your eyes, and rest...
actually you're right, what is something better
X... do you know the story of Pinocchio? A friend of mine told me about it long ago. But... I don't know how it ended.
[His tired eyes meets X's.]
Do you know?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo-!
Yes, I do Jiro. I do know how it ends. ...shall I tell you?
[He musters a smile, for his friend's sake.]

[If he was capable of crying still, X thought that's what he would be doing now. Yet in this form...]
...like you, Jiro. When you wake up, you can become real. So please rest, my friend.
no subject
I think... I have become real, just like Pinocchio.
[And he's happy. Very happy that he had lived long enough to understand and be with humans. Throughout all those years, maybe he has become human after all.]
I'll rest then... I know Mitsuko's waiting.

...yes, yes you have Jiro. I can see within you, how very real that heart of yours is.
[X still believed, not matter what they were all real. That someday, all this strife, all this suffering will end and they will someday join hands in peace and accept one another along with their differences and all.]
Rest well, Jiro. Please say hi to your friends, for me.

[And then Jiro will put up one last smile to X. He could feel his body weakening every second, his vision grows dimmer and dimmer, even receiving messages coming from his processors of a complete shutdown in a few minutes. It's as if everything is slowing down to him.
...Is this what it's like to die?]
I'm so glad... I've... I've finally become human. Thank you.
[He closes his eyes, and plays one final song, as a sign of gratitude, before he finally shuts down. Silence then takes over the alleyway, as Jiro finally rests in peace.]
