It's been a while. If you grow up in Sinnoh you pretty much learn this in the womb, but I'm not the best storyteller, so just bear with me.

Okay, so there's this dude. He has a sword, and that's pretty much his defining character trait besides being a total jerk. He thinks he's too cool for school just because he has a sword, and then he goes around, like, murdering Pokemon. Not even using them for food, you know? Because at least that's understandable, people gotta eat. But he's indiscriminately killing all the Pokemon because he's a bastard and they didn't exactly have a lot of ways to waste time back then.

'Till eventually, he ran out of Pokemon to kill.
