"Have you really convinced yourself of such a delusion, or did you swallow such lies spoon-fed by your king?" It's laughable, that Thor thinks he can reassure Loki that execution and murder are two different things. How naive, how gullible, how deluded.

There is no time for more remarks when Thor is charging at him with his weapon sailing through the air right at him. Loki is more prepared to evade; a spinning side-step later he's out of the path of Mjolnir's strike, and Loki uses the momentum of his movements to whip out the chain connected to his not-demolished arm. The metal line flies out and wraps around Thor's throat, and with what strength the has with one arm, he pulls roughly.

"You think your suffering greater than mine. You haven't the vaguest idea of what it is like to lose your place in the world, you don't know what it means to live second best!" The words come out on growling, desperate breaths as he yanks the chain in his hand, drawing Thor and himself closer until he is just behind the thunder god, fist firmly around the base of the chain so tightly wound around Thor's neck. "Redemption isn't something the Allfather wants for me. Instead he wishes to have me put down like a sick dog. It's easier that way, isn't it? Is it easier, Thor, to just kill me?"
