A snicker is all Loki can give. "Then you obviously do not have the same capability of being so convincing that I have been gifted."
Loki sneers then as Thor continues. Thor knows nothing of what Loki had achieved with the Chitauri even with losing the war, what power and knowledge he gained. Asgard is foolish to send him to his death, and Loki screamed these words to an ignorant king who is too deluded with his own tyranny that he would rather put the powerful prince to death. Foolish man, the Allfather. Loki only wishes he could live long enough to see the horror on Odin's face when the Chitauri come to Asgard for their revenge.
For a moment, Loki isn't entirely sure that the upswing of Thor's hammer isn't the devastating blow that will end him once in for all, and he shuts his eyes firmly, but only because the light is too much for him to peer through.
It then goes dark. Out of the snapping thunder comes the sound of rain again, and Loki feels that his arms are free. His eyes open before he can even think to do open them himself, just before Thor's demand.
Loki blinks. A fool would think Thor as being merciful, offering a chance at redemption, freedom. Loki is no fool; he has no power to use, no weapons to wield. This is still a death sentence. Honourable how, fighting so helplessly and weakly with a god of Thor's prowess? It will be laughable. Loki would rather be chained to this rock and take the beating he had coming.
The mud is wet and cold in Loki's palms as he feels the limp chains in the puddle he is in, which are still attached to his wrists with metal shackles. When he smiles, it is an expression saturated in malevolent venom ready to poison anyone who looks upon him.
"Certainly."
With movement like lightning, Loki lashes the chain on his right hand out and it whips around Thor's ankle, gripping him firmly. Loki yanks on it with all the might he can muster in such a quick movement, and feels when the mud beneath Thor's foot gives obediently.
